Prenatal cell-free DNA screening
Our laboratory offers a turnkey prenatal screening service to detect certain genetic conditions. All tests offered by GenoLab are risk-free for both mother and fetus.
They are available as early as the 10th week of pregnancy, and are performed by a single, simple blood test.
Reliability up to 99.9%.
Chromosome number abnormalities correspond to the presence or absence of one or more extra copies of a chromosome.
The chromosomal abnormalities causing the different types of trisomy (13, 18 and 21) are important to know from the very first weeks of pregnancy.
The technology can detect the presence (or absence) of the Y chromosome. Normally, each human cell has a pair of sex chromosomes. Male cells contain one Y and one X chromosome, while female cells contain two X chromosomes.
Four sex chromosome aneuploidies can be analyzed at the GenoLab laboratory:
Turner syndrome (XO)
Jacob's syndrome (XYY)
Klinefelter's syndrome (XXY)
Triple X syndrome (XXX)
*Available only for singleton pregnancy
